Mango butter:  (Mangifera Indica Seed Butter), besides being juicy with their distinct and sweet flavor, mangos have great benefits and are effective in soothing and moisturizing the skin. These benefits are sourced in its seeds, the content of the mango seed is extracted and cold pressed into the creamy butter that we use in some of our products.  Mango butter is a rich source of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. It possesses hydrating properties that nourish your skin, it forms a protective layer that helps moisturize and soften your skin. The abundance of vitamin E and vitamin C help protect your skin from environmental stressors such as pollution and sunlight which can lead to premature aging. However, mango butter also contains a high level of vitamin A and salicylic acid which is known to help reduce sun damage.  

 

kokum butter: (Garcinia Indica Seed Butter) derived from the kokum fruit, kokum butter is known to be one of the butters with the highest emollience. It is excellent for all skin types. According to studies, kokum butters provide your skin with profound nourishment and long-lasting hydration especially during cold weather. Its soothing impact can prevent skin allergies, and its inflammatory properties and powerful antioxidants safeguard the skin and help avoid acne breakout.  


Shea butter: (Butyrospermum Parkii Fruit Butter), is made from the nuts of a tree known as Vitellaria paradoxa ( Butyrospermum parkii), A tree known to the native west and central Africa. Shea butter is a "superfood" power for your skin.  Its rich components of fatty acids give it nourishing properties. two outstanding skin vitamins that shea butter is rich in are vitamins A and E, both act as antioxidants to promote healthy skin cell growth and regeneration. That's why it is deeply nourishing and moisturizing. Its unique fatty acid makeup allows it to moisturize the skin, lock in moisture, and nourish dry or damaged skin. 


 

Cocoa butter: (Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter), is the fat that comes from the cacao beans after it has been roasted. Besides smelling so good and feeling luxurious cocoa butter has many benefits. growing up in the caribbean i remember harvesting the cocoa and sucking the fruit, (if you ask me, it's delicious, yummy). cocoa has been used for years in medicine and the beauty industries. It is known for its high content in fatty acids and its ability to hydrate and nourish the skin and improve elasticity. The fat in cocoa butter forms a protective barrier over the skin to hold in and lock in moisture. It has been used for years to treat scars and stretch marks.  

 

Colloidal oatmeal: (Avena Sativa Kernel Flour), has a long history of beneficial use in dermatology.  It is finely ground and processed from whole oats, which contain natural lipids and beta-glucans that create a barrier against the skin and adds a soothing feeling, moisturizing dry itchy, irritated skin and gentle exfoliation.  The hydrated granules of oatmeal adhere to the surface of the skin and provide a film attracting humidity and reducing friction. It is a natural product that has been approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), in 2003 they officially categorized colloidal oatmeal as a skin protectant. 

 

Honey quat: (Hydroxypropyltrimonium Honey), is a naturally derived quaternized conditioning agent made from real honey that draws moisture so skin and hair stay hydrated all day long. The quaternary reaction makes it far more moisturizing than regular honey, with humectant activity twice that of glycerin. Because of its low molecular weight, the penetration capability is exceptional, allowing it to penetrate the hair and offer long term moisturizing benefits, shine. and smoothness while it softens skin and scalp.  

 

Panthenol:  Panthenol is known as Pro-Vitamin B5, which acts as a humectant and an emollient. Humectant attracts and binds water to the skin, while emollients seal in moisture in the skin keeping the water locked in.  

Panthenol also helps your skin build up a barrier against irritation and water loss. The National Center for Biotechnology Information listed panthenol as a skin protectant with anti-inflammatory properties. It helps improve skin’s hydration, elasticity, and smooth appearance.  

 

Niacinamide: Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and an essential nutrient for health. It is an ingredient that helps moisturize skin and support your skin’s natural lipid barrier. it helps seal in moisture, softens fine lines, minimizes pore appearance, reduces inflammation, builds protein, and strengthens the skin.
